High frequency Power Supply

High-frequency power supply using wide-gap semiconductors

A high-frequency inverter is one of the essential components for a wireless power transmission system.
We are researching high-efficiency high-frequency inverters, high power output, and improvement of resistance to load fluctuations. In our laboratory, we formulate the theoretical behavior of circuits and verify them through circuit simulations and experiments.
Students themselves design and prototype circuits to be used in experiments. We deal with inverters of MHz band for frequency and kW class for power.
Using wide-gap semiconductors such as SiC and GaN, we aim to achieve the world's highest class efficiency and power output by putting our established theory into practice.
